What you can do with it

Five engines

PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server and Oracle, with TLS and SSH tunnels. Passwords stay encrypted in your OS keychain.

Browse

Schemas, tables and views, with each table's columns and indexes in the sidebar.

SQL editor

Autocomplete for tables, views and columns, one result tab per statement, run the selection or the statement under the cursor, and cancel.

Edit table rows

Filter and sort a table, change cells or set them to NULL, and save. Each change is matched by primary key to exactly one row, or nothing is saved.

Transactions per tab

Each editor tab has its own session, so BEGIN, temp tables and SET stay in that tab. Closing the tab rolls back an open transaction.

Guard rails

DROP, TRUNCATE, and DELETE or UPDATE without WHERE ask first. Read-only connections are enforced by MotionQL and by the database itself.

Export

Results and whole tables to CSV, JSON or Excel. Open and save .sql files.
